Thank you for choosing LOD Player. This Privacy Policy outlines how we handle your information when you use our mobile and Android TV application.
1. Content Liability & Disclaimer
LOD Player is strictly a media player tool designed for playing M3U and Xtream API playlists. We do not provide, host, distribute, or sell any media content, live streams, or VODs. Users must provide their own legally acquired content. We do not collect, track, or monitor the playlists you add, and we hold no responsibility for the legality of the content provided by the user.
2. Data Collection and Local Storage
LOD Player is built with a privacy-first architecture. We do not use external servers to store your personal app data:
- Watch History & Preferences: Your watch history, resume times, language/subtitle selections, and sleep timer settings are stored strictly locally on your device.
- Offline Downloads: VOD contents downloaded for offline viewing are saved locally to your device's internal storage and are accessible only through the LOD Player app.
- Account Data: We do not require you to create an account, nor do we collect personal identifiers such as your name, email, or phone number.
3. Device Permissions
To provide core functionalities such as background playback, sleep timers, and offline VOD downloading (currently available on mobile devices), the app may request specific device permissions (like storage access or background execution). These permissions are used exclusively to operate the app's features locally and do not transmit your data off your device.
4. Advertising and Personalized Ads
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements in our free version. AdMob may use device identifiers, cookies, and similar technologies to provide advertisements.
- Personalized Ads & Consent: In certain regions (such as the EEA and UK), we use the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain your consent for collecting your device's Advertising ID to show personalized ads. On iOS devices, we use Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework to ask for your permission to track your activity across apps for advertising purposes.
- Withdrawing Consent: You can manage your ad tracking preferences and withdraw your consent at any time directly through your device's system settings (e.g., "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android, or "Allow Apps to Request to Track" on iOS).
- By using the free version of the app and granting the necessary permissions, you consent to the collection of this data by Google and its ad partners for advertising purposes.
5. Premium Subscriptions & Usage Limits
LOD Player offers a Premium tier to enhance the user experience. We offer flexible membership options including Monthly, Yearly plans.
- Free Tier Limitations: Free users can utilize the offline download feature but are restricted to having a total of only one downloaded episode or movie at any given time. To download a new item, the currently downloaded content must be deleted first. Additionally, the background playback/listening feature is disabled, and advertisements will be displayed.
- Premium Tier Benefits: Upgrading to Premium unlocks unlimited offline downloads (limited only by your device's available storage capacity), enables the background playback/listening feature, and provides a completely ad-free experience.
- Transactions: All financial transactions and subscription managements are handled securely by the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. We do not process, collect, or have access to your credit card information or billing details.

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our features or legal requirements. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
